Artist: Lucha Rodriguez with Paco Vegachette

Lucha & Paco have been working collectively in Atlanta with the sole purpose of spreading playfulness, inquisitiveness and happiness through interaction with their works.  With a visual language that's bright and bold they contrast organically twisted shapes with hard-edged geometry.  Paco’s obsession with lines, patterns and blocks of colors becomes the perfect playground for Lucha’s fatal attraction to the color pink and her neon Creaturettes creating an explosive vibratory visual landscape of shapes and colors.  They are inspired by the hidden magic found in everyday life and the blurry line between imagination and reality.

What started as small collaborative sketchbook drawings has grown into much larger sculptural, fashion and furniture projects.  Both artists work instinctively by following their own sensations of light, color and space.

Inspiration:
Kitara S.

Kitara is 11 years old and has been a member of the Michael A. Grant Club since she was six years old.  When she grows up, she wants to be an artist or an actor.  She says that BGCMA has taught her that it’s important to exercise and eat healthy and that in order to be a leader, she needs to help others.  For her, the best part of BGCMA is that it’s a safe place where she can hang out with her friends, have fun, dance and be happy.
