Artist: Stephanie Raborn

Stephanie Raborn is visual artist out of Atlanta, Georgia. A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree-holder with a minor in Drawing, Painting and Printmaking, the training she received in Psychology serves to inform her art practice and guides the analytical approach in which she creates process-oriented drawings. Her work centers on the concept of time, and drawings are reflections on specific points in time and how we choose to navigate them. Each blur, smudge, and mark that she creates within a piece represents a passage of time, an instance that she has either tried to wipe out, forget, or retro-actively alter, as we as humans constantly engage our memories and experiences.

Inspiration:
Michael T.

Michael Twum was a member of the Brookhaven Club for ten years.  His favorite activity was anything sports related; he especially loved the summer league flag football games as well as when they played against other clubs in basketball, baseball and hockey.  He says that BGCMA changed the way he looked at life, teaching him to keep things simple.  To him, the BGCMA means cultivation of future leaders, giving back to the community, success of its members not only in school, but in life and life-long friends.  Today, Michael works in the finance department of The Coca Cola Company.
